I am unwavering in my support for the dedicated men and women in law enforcement who tirelessly protect our communities. It’s pretty simple: Police officers should be U.S. citizens. Allowing non-citizens to enforce the law is not only concerning but also disrespects the dedication and sacrifice of those who proudly wear the badge. Together, we can ensure the integrity of our law enforcement institutions and the safety of our neighborhoods.
Govenor J.B. Pritzer enacted SB 3751, a law allowing illegal aliens to become Police Officers. Democrats and many left-leaning Republicans voted yes, including Representative Dave Severin. American citizens have the right to become Police Officers in our communities. All Police officers should be U.S. citizens. Allowing non- citizens to enforce the law is not only concerning but also disrespects the dedication and sacrifice of those American citizens who proudly wear the badge.
