We must have Term Limits at all levels of government. We elect a President every four years and serving in that capacity is limited to two terms. The House and Senate must also be limited to ensure embedded and reckless life-long politicians are rooted out so fresh ideas can come forward. I understand there is a learning curve involved in the first term and also the need to develop relationships and supporters for important policies. If term limits are enforced across the board, all elected officials would lean in and do their best work in order to accomplish more before their term limits are up.
That is one of the reasons I decided to run for State Representative. I saw how several of the candidates campaigned on supporting term limits, including my opponent, but
after being elected they did not honor their signed commitment vow . If an elected official lies to get into office and ignores their responsibilities to their voters, I feel strongly they should not be re-elected.
